Arrived around 9 am and got the special morning swim price (50% off).

However there were a lot more people in the lanes because of it, and even more babies than the last time. Normally the mothers and babes are just finishing when I arrive at around 10 am, but here they were getting their babies ready to swim, which of course meant that they were also showering their babies when I finished swimming.
Not that I have anything against babies, it's just that they and their mothers take up a lot of room in the locker room.

Had a good swim, and the lanes weren't too crowded - had 3 in my lane for only about 2 minutes otherwise only had to share it with one other person.

Had another Tuesday morning swim. There's always a lot of mothers with their babies when I come, because they have to get out of the warm water basin at 10 am. Try to imagine a locker room filled with 10 mothers and their infants. Makes me change and shower in a hurry, that's for sure.

I have to admit, I don't really get the whole "baby swimming" thing. It makes no difference for actually learning to swim, raises the risk for ear infections, and is a major pain-in-the-ass to deal with a wet squirmy baby. It really is just entertainment for the parents, IMHO. Oh sure, it's great with the closeness in the water, but the baby really doesn't get that much more of an experience than an ordinary bath would give it.

In any case, I had a great swim. Had the lane to myself the whole time, and that's always great.

TODDLER SWIMMING

Took my 2-year old son swimming. They were having "Grandparents' Day" at his daycare, but unfortunately none of his grandparents could come. So to avoid him being surrounded by throngs of old folks he doesn't know, I picked him up early, and went to the pool.

He had a great time, and didn't want to leave the pool. And once we were in the locker room, he decided to crawl into a locker and close the door behind him. It was really cute and funny.

Tuesday mornings have become a great time for me to swim. We get our house cleaned on Tuesday mornings, and since I'm currently unemployed, it's a perfect excuse to get out of the house.

Had a whole lane to myself and remembered my moisturizer today!

SLIP SLIDING AWAY

Took my son to Bagsværd Svømmehal and had great fun going down the water slide, doing our Jesus trick, swimming against the current, etc.

Took a nice easy swim after my race last Saturday. Nice calm and relaxed.
