It can be difficult to choose which lane to choose when the joint is pretty busy. Usually I go for the lane with the most room and the least perceived hassle. Today I had a different strategy. 2 teenage girls were hogging one lane, swimming side by side, making it undesirable for anyone to try to swim there.
Fuck that! I thought. As soon as my wake hits them, they'll exit the lane.
Nope they just kept acting dumb, and then I'd growl at them and they'd begrudgingly move out of my path. I told them if they wanted to splash about they could go to the kiddy pool, but if they wanted to swim, they'd have to swim in a ring. They started to do the typical Danish teenager thing arguing their position, and I just didn't listen to their bullshit, but pushed off the wall and kept swimming. The little whiners even started complaining to the life guard. Unfuckingbelievable!
Despite the annoying teenagers, I had a good swim and a good time.
